So... I'm back. :) And it's full speed ahead. I had a wonderful vacation with my family and I'll post pics on that soon.

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing a fantastic wedding. I wanted to post a few of those and then it's off to another wedding. Amy, if you are back from your honeymoon...I hope you love these!

I had a great time today with the Career Camp! Several kids came to my office to learn about me... how fun! I'm not the best teacher, but I hope they had a good time. I took a picture of "Abby" and showed the kids step-by-step what I do. :) I'm posting an after of Abby and a pic of me and the class. Thanks for coming! I had a great time and it was a welcome break.

An update: My father-in-law passed away yesterday at 1:30pm. We were all with him at his bedside and it was very peaceful. Thank you for your prayers.

I am saddened to write this post. I have been unable to work or respond to e-mails for the past few days. My father-in-law has been fighting a long and hard battle and it seems he won't be with us much longer. I've been at the hospital with my husband keeping vigil at John's bedside. Please say a prayer for my family. I ask for your patience as I forsee a delay in my phone/e-mails over the next week. God bless.

What a weekend! I really have so much I could say about Katie and Jeremy and their beautiful union! What a fabulous mix of family, friends and warmth. I felt as if I was part of the family. I witnessed a rehearsal dinner that could have easily passed for a wedding reception in it's own right. I documented a family football game prior to the wedding that had many laughing to the point of tears. And then of course, I witnessed a ceremony that committed to wonderful people together for a lifetime. I was moved by the whole event. What can I say? I love weddings! Such a great start to the season.

I received this e-mail and it totally made my day! So glad Nicole and Ryal love their pics. :) This e-mail is in reference to the engagement shoot in Raleigh two weeks ago. I'm going to attach their slideshow as well. ;) Little shameless post on my part, but hey.... it made me feel good.

Wow these are amazing. I love all the locations and moments she captured. She really has a great eye. You look so beautiful and happy.

I loved hanging out with my sister and shopping like crazy!

I've been asked several times by my clients.... why do I love canvas? I just think an image on canvas can really be seen as a work of art. Who better to showcase in your home than your children! I've just placed a pretty big order for several people and I can't wait to show these off. Look at little Eleanor below. Her mom is getting this in a 16x20! I love it. :)

Such a cute groom!

What a perfect day for a wedding. I loved the overcast skies and the temps were just right. Couldn't ask for a better June wedding. This couple is from Rhode Island and I didn't actually meet them until the wedding day. Liz was a very natural and easy going bride... just the way I like them! Chris was hysterical! I had no problem taking their pictures. Anyway, here are a few I've come across in my pre-editing. I'm sure there will be more posts about this wedding, as the reception was a throw down!
